The Challenge
Prior to implementing ABIM’s Camera AI solution, Hyundai Kefico’s security team relied entirely on traditional CCTV setups, requiring guards to manually monitor dozens of camera feeds across screens 24/7.
Key operational challenges included:
- Fatigue-Prone Manual Monitoring: Security staff had to keep eyes on screens constantly, leading to human fatigue and overlooked safety incidents.
- No Smart Alerting Capabilities: Existing camera hardware lacked automated object recognition, perimeter intrusion alerts, or hazard detection functions.
- Perimeter & Nighttime Blind Spots: Detecting unauthorized items being handed across perimeter fences—especially in low-light or nighttime conditions—was extremely difficult.
